How to Customize Google AMP on WordPress
Just download, install and activate AMP for WP plugin. It is a free plugin. You can install it from WordPress dashboard also. This plugin will give you many options with the free plugin. If you want more options like placing ads within content, star rating, DFP, woo-commerce, comments forms and much more you can use AMP for WP extensions. Here I am showing you details about some of the important options.
You will see AMP option in the left menu. Click on that you will see all available options.
Go to General section to enable or disable AMP on pages and you can also add a logo from General section.
Go to Homepage to enable AMP on the homepage. Just enable it, that will convert your website homepage as AMP page.
This section will help you to add Google analytics code to your AMP pages. It is must to track AMP pages. For that, you need to create a separate property for your website AMP version in Google analytics. Note down your tracking ID which is like UA-123456-1.
Go to Analytics option, paste your Google Analytics tracking code and save changes.

This section will give you options to change the layout option for your AMP pages, enable search option and to add custom css. I think you need not use changing layout option and adding CSS. But it is good to have a search option.
Providing search option is mandatory. But your website must have been using SSL to enable search option.

Just go to Design and enable Search option and save changes. It will show search symbol at the top right corner of your AMP version.
This section works only if you were using Yoast SEO plugin. You need not change any option in this section. Go to SEO and make sure Tags and description options are enabled. If you want you can control indexing options.
You can add your main menu. If you are using more than one menu on your desktop website, you can select any one to add to AMP pages.
Go to the Menu option and click on the link option.
You will be redirected to your menu section. You will see AMP Menu option. Select your menu from the dropdown and select Save changes.
Advertisement option will give you chance to place your Adsense ads. It works only with the AdSense. You can not place other ads. It will give you only four options. You can place ads below footer, below heater, above the content and below content. If you want to place ads within content, and want to use other ad networks, you need to use AMP for WP Advanced AMP ads extension.
Single option will give you options to add sticky social share buttons, related posts, previous and next posts, comments, header text color, header background color, link color and meta info.
Go to Single and enable Sticky Social Icons. This is the best option through which you can show sticky social share buttons at the bottom of the window. You can control which icons to show from the Social share option.
Enable Next-Previous Links option to show Next post and previous post at the end of every post.
You can select Category or Tag option to show related posts. You can also enter a number to display the number of related posts.
Just click on Click Here option shown in above screenshot to get more options. Now you will see below screen. You can see control option at left. You can disable Social icons option. Because it will display social icons at the end of the post. You are already using sticky social share icons, so no need to display social icons at two places.
This section will give you an option to control social share networks. You can enable or disable available networks.
This section will give you options to upload logos. I think you should upload these logos. Sometimes AMP validation may give errors. If you upload these logos, you will not get validation errors.
You can display a notification at the top of the page. If you want, you can just enable it.
No need to change anything on the translation panel.
If you want you can enable Disqus comments.
You will get two important options in Advance settings.
Visitors see AMP pages who come from search results only. If you browse your website directly you will not see AMP version. Enabling Mobile Redirection option will convert your entire mobile website as AMP version. This is the best option which I love.
You can give a link to a Non-AMP page in the footer. If you want, you can also select the first option to give a non AMP version from header or logo.
You can also place HTML code in the header or footer.
